Canal Digitaal has been using newer encoding/decoding versions for some time. It has therefore been decided to no longer support some older versions from 2023. The closure will take place in phases from the end of December 2023. Reception systems that use the old Mediaguard CI module must therefore be equipped with the new Mediaguard 3.5 CI module. Receivers equipped with universal card readers will also need to use the CI module with smart cards. Naturally, the CAM803 CI module will continue to perform just as well as the white Mediaguard CI module, as it has been in circulation for a long time.

The M7 SAT801 receiver, Philips 7121, 7141, 8121 and 8141 continued to work without any problems.

Receivers such as Amiko HD8265+, APEBOX and Bente also continue to work without problems in combination with the correct CI module. Be there in time to be replaced.

Do you have a television with a CI slot? And do you already have a Canal Digitaal smart card? Then an insert card into which you insert your smart card is sufficient. You receive the signal directly on your TV, so you don't need a second remote control. The condition is that your TV is suitable for satellite reception via the Common Interface module (and has a DVBS2 tuner for satellite reception). Also suitable for satellite receivers that require a CI module.

This type of module is suitable for Mediaguard3 smart cards, available in orange (main smart card) gray (smart card to connect additional TVs). Smart card not included.
